| Abstract

| Active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine（TCM）such as curcumin and baicalin have the advantages of multi target including anti oxidant，anti inflammatory，anti depressant，and anti cancer effects. However，their clinical application is significantly constrained by inherent limitations like poor chemical stability and low water solubility. Environment responsive hydrogels are kind intelligent polymeric materials，which can dynamically respond to microenvironmental signals such as temperature，pH，redox conditions，enzymes，light，and electricity to achieve precise controlled drug release and targeted delivery. This work systematically reviews the construction mechanisms and functional characteristics of environment responsive hydrogels，and focuses on the application of environment-responsive hydrogel systems in the delivery of TCM active ingredients，which provides solutions to overcome the limitations of TCM formulations. |
