Abstract
There are many argues about the cause of stroke in the past dynamics. Now as the pathogenic factors “the wind, fire, phlegm, blood stasis, Qi, deficiency” are recognized by the majority of scholars. But they put emphasis on the view of “disorder of Qi-blood”, while for the basic pathogenesis they have different opinions. This paper tries to explore the etiology and pathogenesis of ischemic stroke in referring to the recognition of the physicians in past dynasties and combining with that of the modern medicine.
