Abstract
    [Objective] To observe the acute toxicity of water and alcohol extract of Anemarrhenae Rhizoma. [Methods] Kunming mice were used to test the maximum tolerated dose of water and alcohol extract of Anemarrhenae Rhizoma. [Results] The maximum tolerated dose of water extract of Anemarrhenae Rhizoma was 35.0 g/kg and the maximum tolerated dose of 80%alcohol extract of Anemarrhenae Rhizoma was 37.5 g/kg. [Conclusion] The water and alcohol extract of Anemarrhenae Rhizoma is safe for clinical administration.
