| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To explore the clinical therapeutic effect of union of Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture and hexanone theobromine on cerebral infarction hemiplegia. [Methods] Totally 120 patients with cerebral infarction hemiplegia were stochastically divided into two groups. The Western drug group was injected with hexanone theobromine，while the acupuncture group adopted union of Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture and hexanone theobromine. The therapeutic effects were compared. [Results] The total effective rate in the acupuncture group was 93.33%，significantly higher than the 80.00% in the Western drug group（P<0.05）. After therapy，the acupuncture group had lower scores in Chinese medicine syndrome and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale（NIHSS，P<0.05），and higher scores in the upper limb Fugl-Meyer Motor Function Assessment（FMA），upper limb Wolf Motor Function Test （WMFT），and Barthel Index（BI）than the Western drug group（P<0.05）. After therapy，the acupuncture group had higher serum catalase（CAT），superoxide dismutase（SOD），and brain-derived neurotrophic factor（BDNF），P<0.05，and lower homocysteine（Hcy） than the Western drug group（P<0.05）. There were no statistically significant differences in prothrombin time（PT），activated partial thromboplastin time（APTT），thrombin time（TT），and fibrinogen（FIB）levels between groups or within groups before and after treatment（P>0.05）. [Conclusion] The union of Tongdu Tiaoshen acupuncture and hexanone theobromine has prominent therapeutic effects on cerebral infarction hemiplegia，and it can improve upper limb motor function and daily living ability. |
